PARAEXPLORERS: How old were you when you first realized there was more to reality than your five senses perceived?

CHRIS: I was about 6. My parents were not seeing what I was and these things would appear and interact with things in my room. Doors moving, reflections in mirrors, sheets moving, etc. I realized that kids at school, most of them, were not having these experiences. Priests at school didn't have answers. My dad chose to ignore it and my mom asked me not to tell anyone. So I figured something strange was going on here, and yet it was intriguing at the same time.

PARAEXPLORERS: What was your first paranormal experience? How did you react to it, and how did it change you?

CHRIS: I got tapped on the shoulder one night while I was in bed. I turned around and no one was there. I thought maybe my parents did it. The next morning when I asked them at breakfast they said they were asleep and it wasn't them. The next night when it happened again I knew it wasn't them because they sleep with their door closed and it never opened. Plus, I never heard any footsteps and no one. I mean no one was in the room or could move that quick to tap my shoulder and disappear. I freaked and had no idea what it was until the first time I saw one. A ghost that is.

PARAEXPLORERS: What drives you to pursue this field of study? For some, it is fear of mortality, for others the desire to know what reality is. What is your motivating factor?

CHRIS: Many reasons. All my experiences happened for a reason. I still have questions and want to communicate and see them all the time. Yet as I have gotten older it doesn't work that way all the time. My motivation is I know they exist. To many people are blind to the fact that ghosts are everywhere. I like to get proof, the more proof, the better. I can’t let my life not have a purpose. I do what I can to contribute, enlighten, assist and share what I know and just pray that along the way many people are helped by what I do.

PARAEXPLORERS: How has celebrity helped or harmed you? Do you see positives and negatives to the increasing focus on celebrities in the paranormal field?

CHRIS: Yes I used to go out all the time, but now I stay in a lot and have become more of a private person. I don't care for the spotlight because I am a low key, and believe it or not occasionally shy type of person. I never want people to get the wrong idea. Just because you are compassionate about something tends to create the wrong image to some people in this field. I don't understand that. I love what I do. It is my life and when I speak it, it shows. What is wrong with that? I guess I probably scare a lot of people. Great experience houses much knowledge and some people don't want that.

I feel that too many people are in this for the wrong reason. Attention and fame as well as to be in the spotlight. I have seen people I have met now on TV shows that lost it. Their intent has changed. Money and fame can change that in people. I cannot tell you how many people have come up to me telling me they have a TV show and If I want to be on it. Just because they are on TV does not mean I want to be on it. I have been in this field for over since the early 90's and I have been living this for over 35 years. There are a few people on TV today that think they live it, yet they don't breath it. They just pretend to. It is no longer about the paranormal. It has shifted to the ego and that my friend is sad. So I say to those that are only in this to get noticed or have a TV show. You are in it for the wrong reason.

PARAEXPLORERS: How do you discern your own intuition from a true paranormal experience when contacting the dead?

CHRIS: My intuition warns me or tells me details of something I need to know or be concerned about. It comes from a higher power and my higher consciousness. A true paranormal experience I react to and or sense moments before and during. The experience is beyond my intuition and caused by another force and or conscious energy of its own accord.

PARAEXPLORERS: Where do you hope to see this field of study go in the next decade?

CHRIS: Away from the ego and towards the research. Actual grants being issued to further research and well known people in politics, government, high society get involved in assisting in further developments to the field.

PARAEXPLORERS: Can you share a bit about big plans you have for 2010?

CHRIS: Yes, complete projects I have been wanting to complete for years, namely my book about my childhood and growing up with these experiences. Also, start a family.
